I’m very sensitive to this “quasi-frock coat” cut. I’ve never owned a coat to / around the knees and I think I’d look smashing. Something about such a coat makes me very happy. Maybe it is the iconic historical association with an ambitious and aspirational class or maybe just the sense of Edwardian “common luxury”.

Sigh. Whatever it is, I love it.

You’re absolutely right! I have a charcoal herringbone coat by Hugo Boss and it is beautiful! You would look smashing in one of these, as well as the one pictured above (The entire ensemble, really). Take your time and look around. I tried on about 20-25 different coats before I settled on my HB. I look great in my coat and if I do, you most certainly will!
