Today Peter Berkman showed me “BREATHTAKING”, a 27-page internal document allegedly prepared by the people who made the new Pepsi logo.
I can’t tell if it’s real or not! I seems like a genius hoax, but perhaps it is cutting-edge con artistry or perhaps legitimate high-level insanity.

Did this really happen?

An incredible amount of seemingly arbitrary design principles. This...why artists teeter...

  10. andrewmuto answered: It is absolutely real. Peter Arnell’s company, the Arnell Group spearheaded the campaign as well as the recent disastrous Tropicana redesign

  12. tywillis answered: It seems to be real, there was some verification that the document was created within Arnell Group a few months back.

  15. catbird answered: So I take it you’re completely unfamiliar with Peter Arnell? bit.ly/155Y4s

  19. mdtepsic answered: I highly doubt it, I think it’s just a stab at the poor design job OK’d by Pepsi.
  20. doug answered: It happened, and is verified. It was all over the web ~3 months ago.
  21. ryanb answered: I’d agree that it’s a con job, but it was good enough to fool the higher ups at Pepsi.
