I’ll be washing my hands in an airport bathroom as someone emerges from the stall to wash their hands as well. As people walk in I turn to him and matter of factly say “hey by the way - that was some awesome sex” and offer a high five. I write and act comedy - don’t steal my stuff without asking. — hipsterdiet I did that once with a friend and got punched!

– Bush to Offer Stimulus Plan; Tax Rebates Expected - New York Times Translation: The economy will be saved because people who can’t afford it will buy more $58 Gap sweaters, while rich people will save their money and get richer. America rules! Shaking my head!

This is a great example of two aspects of improv that are viewed as cornerstones or both sketch and improvisation: “yes, and” + “upping the ante or stakes.” Basically, someone throws out something minor that doesn’t seem to fit persay, you not only make it work, you kick it up a notch and so on. As the audience begins to figure out the rythym of the sketch, you up...

George's Birthday Party
Saturday night I went to my brother-in-law’s house for his birthday party.  I had such a fantastic time!  There were a whole bunch of people there and George was really happy to see all of his friends and family.  The food was excellent, booze a-plenty, and entertaining conversations everywhere.  It was great to see Gil, Gabe, Richard, Pablo, my brothers, and the rest of the gang.  George...

Watch this 20-minute video about consumerism when you have a chance. If nothing else, you might question why you think you need to buy new things when the opportunity arises. At worst, you could save some money. Come on. It’s Sunday. We both know you have 20 spare minutes. And don’t just play the video in a tab somewhere while browsing the internet and chatting: actually watch the video. — marco...

My Last Week in NYC
I’ve often said my life is made up of a series of demystifying things I hold on high. NYC has always been in that place. More over various subcultures that exist (that propagate and grow stereotypes of the city) were always intimidating in particular. Bankers, artists, blah blah blah blah. You know what I’ve learned on this trip: That everybody’s just as scared as the next...

Fast Food Nation
I know that I am way late on this, but last night I watched Fast Food Nation and was pretty sickened by it.  I’m gonna lay off the fast food for a while. I also saw The Young Philadelphians with Paul Newman.  I wish I could dress like him.  Classy guy.

What to do?
Just sitting here wondering what I resolve to do this year. I would actually like to tour around Mexico or spend a couple of months in Argentina or fulfill my dream of going to Mongolia. I feel the need to leave the country for a while. I left the US back in ‘98 for a couple of years and truly enjoyed it. I have spent the last 8 years soaking up my American culture. I have had my fill...
